Keemun
Keemun black tea, produced in Qimen County, Anhui Province, is one of the world's three most famous black teas. Its distinctive "Keemun aroma" — a complex blend of rose, fruit, and honey notes — has captivated tea lovers worldwide since its development in the late 19th century.
The Keemun Aroma
The unique character comes from three factors: limestone-rich soil, misty mountain climate, and meticulous "gongfu" processing. The fermentation stage is critical — it generates abundant aromatic compounds that create Keemun's signature rose-like fragrance, unlike any other Chinese black tea.
Brewing Tips
Use 90-95掳C water with white porcelain or glass teaware to appreciate Keemun's color and aroma. A 1:50 ratio (3g per 150ml) works well. First infusion: 30 seconds; add 5-10 seconds for subsequent steeps. Keemun also makes excellent milk tea — its fragrance holds up beautifully.
